A quarter of a century has gracefully passed since the inception of HK Duo in the year 2000. These twenty-five years have flowed like a quiet melody across the black and white keys of our pianos—a journey of two artists learning to listen, respond, and grow together. From our early days of exploration to the profound understanding we share today, this partnership has taught us how to weave distinct voices into a harmonious poetic whole. Each performance is a heartfelt dialogue at the keyboard—a testament to the power of mutual respect, patience, and artistic unity.

We wish to express our deepest gratitude: to music, the timeless bridge that has strengthened our bond; to our audience, whose presence has illuminated our path; and to our mentors and friends, whose support has been a constant source of inspiration. For this special anniversary concert, we are delighted to present an entirely new program, including a world premiere of Julie’s latest composition for four hands, Dance of Metamorphosis, inspired by the theme from the celebrated Hong Kong film Last Dance. On December 5th, we invite you to join us for an evening where twenty-five years of shared music-making will resonate through the hall.
